I was watching ballroom dancing on PBS a couple of weeks ago and started sketching out these little animals. I really had no intention of colouring them up. I wanted to draw for drawing's sake and not think about finishing anything, which is a mindset I've been in lately and want to get out of.

But, in the end I really liked these little guys and wanted to see what they'd look like in colour. I've been doing lots and lots of detail work lately so it was very refreshing to just go extremely simple for a change.

Maybe now I can just draw without thinking of finishing things....

Those are some of the cutest animal characters I've ever seen, they're so simple and yet so full of life and movement. I especially love the fish. They're all great, but the fish make me squee. <3
